You Will Need To
Have a current Alaska Fishing License.
Wear appropriate clothing and nonskid footwear. (We recommend layering your clothing and bringing rain gear. We also recommend that you bring sunscreen and sunglasses.)
Bring a lunch and whatever you wish to drink.

The Chieko (chE-'A-kO) is a 34 Foot Bayliner Sportfisher, equipped with tournament quality tackle and gear, and all the latest electronics and safety equipment. It is Coast Guard licensed and certified for six passengers and boasts a USCG Five Star Safety Rating. The Chieko has ample fishing space for six fisherman and crew. It has a spacious cabin and comfortable "head" (seaman's term for bathroom). The cabin is heated for those days it is cooler and there is space to store your belongings while you are out on deck enjoying some of the best fishing of your life.
The best way to enjoy Resurrection Bay and the surrounding waters is to take a fishing charter and we think Chieko Charters is one of the best. The Captain, John Kito, was born and raised in a small fishing town in Alaska and started earning spending money commercial fishing at age thirteen. He has logged thousands of hours at sea and for the last eighteen years, he has operated Chieko Charters out of Resurrection Bay. He is a licensed captain with a Master's rating and although he has knowledge and experience in all types of fishing he specializes in sport fishing for halibut, salmon, bass, and snapper. Captain John's qualifications couldn't be better for those who want to catch fish, enjoy the scenery and feel comfortable in the ability of their captain.
